State Veterans Cemeteries hosting Memorial Day Programs Sunday

Minnesota’s four State Veterans Cemeteries hosting Memorial Day ceremonies on Sunday afternoon in Preston, Duluth, Little Falls and Redwood Falls.  In Redwood Falls Pre-ceremony music begins at 1:30pm with the Welcome at 2pm.   Guest Speaker is Redwood Falls Mayor Tom Quackenbush.

Sleepy Eye Memorial Day begins Monday 9am at Veteran’s Park.  SAM 107-3 will broadcast the program from Home Cemetery at approximately 9:30am.  New Ulm Memorial Day Program begins with a parade Monday 9:30am on Cemetery Avenue at the New Ulm City Cemetery with official observance in the Soldiers’ Rest Section at 10am.   KNUJ will have the live broadcast.   In case of inclement weather,  it would be moved to the New Ulm Community Center.

Memorial Day in Hanska consists of coffee and doughnuts at 9:30am with program at 10am in the Hanska Community Center.
