Twins fall to Royals
(Minneapolis, MN) — Kansas City’s Nelson Velazquez had a big day at the plate as the Royals snapped a three-game losing streak and beat the Minnesota Twins 6-1 at Target Field last night. Velazquez finished the game with two home runs and three R-B-I. K-C trailed by a run entering the third before plating four runs to take the lead for good. Salvador Perez also went deep for the Royals, while Seth Lugo earned his ninth win after holding Minnesota to one run on six hits in six innings. Minnesota right-hander Bailey Ober was charged with his third loss after surrendering six runs on nine hits in five frames. The Twins go for the series win today at 12:10 P-M in Minneapolis.
