Vikings resigning Risner
(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings are bringing back their starting left guard from a year ago. The Purple signed Dalton Risner (RYZE-ner) to a one-year deal yesterday. Risner joined the Vikings at the beginning of the 2023 season after spending four years with Denver. He took over the starting job when Ezra Cleveland was injured and subsequently traded, and he starting 11 games for Minnesota last season. Vikes left tackle Christian Darrisaw (DARE-uh-saw) says bringing Risner back is exciting for the team. In other team news, the Vikings are off today and will wrap up their second week of Organized Team Activities tomorrow. Football coaches from the University of Minnesota, including head coach P-J Fleck, were at yesterday’s O-T-A session to observe the Vikings coaches.
