Softball Champions Are Crowned

Softball Section Champions were crowned last night:

The Section 2AAA champion will be Mankato East. Jayda Swalve delivers a RBI single in the bottom of the 10th, to give the  Cougars a 2 to 1 win over New Ulm.

The Section 2AA champion will be LCWM. The Knights walk off Belle Plaine to win 4 to 3.

The Section 2A champ is Cathedral. The Greyhounds lost the first game 3 to 0, came back to win the if necessary 4 to 0. Jayden Altermatt tossed a one hitter to send the Greyhounds to State.

The Section 3A champion is RTR. The Knights had to play two games, losing 6 to 5 to Wabasso, then winning the if necessary 11 to 1.

The Section 3AA Champion is Dassel/Cokato. DC defeated Jackson County Central 2 to 0.

GHECML/tru 2 Sleepy Eye 1

St.Mary’s and Madelia were rained out. The teams play today at 2pm in Sleepy Eye.
