Cathedral, LCWM Advance At State

Cathedral and LCWM softball teams will be playing in the semi-finals of the State Tournament today.

The Greyhounds scored three runs, coming out of a rain delay, to break open a one run game and defeated Kelliher/Northome 8 to 1. Abby Hillesheim picked up the win the circle, striking out nine. The Hounds will play RTR, the Knights defeat Moose Lake/Willow River 10 to 0 in 5 innings. the other semi-final will feature Clinton/Graceville/Beardsley, a 9 to 7  win over Red lake Falls, and West Lutheran, a 14 to 9 win over Blooming Prairie. Game time is 4:30pm for bothe games at Caswell Park.

The Knights pick up a 7 to 1 win over Dassel Cokato, taking advantage of some miscues by the Chargers to advance to the semi’s to play St Cloud Cathedral. The Crusaders edged Dilworth/Glyndon/Felton, 2 to 1. the other semi will feature Randolph, a 3 to 2 winner over Glencoe/Silver Lake, and St agus, a 5 to 0 winner over Procter. Game time is 4:30pm at Caswell Park.
