TWO FILED FOR NEW ULM WARD 3 COUNCIL SEAT

Two candidates have filed to be on the ballot in November for New Ulm’s Ward Three Council seat.  Heath Dobberpuhl and Tom Schmitz both filed before Tuesday’s deadline to fill the seat currently held by Les Schultz, who has announced he is not running again.  Dobberpuhl teaches science at MLC and said he has had a passion for New Ulm since he was a student at MLC in the 90s.  Schmitz spend 18 years as New Ulm’s Park and Rec Director and he said he believes New Ulm is the best small town in America and wants to help assist the city with future improvements.  New Ulm’s Ward 3 is the only election with two names on the ballot.  Only incumbents filed for other New Ulm and Brown County elections.
