6 Year Old Child Dies After Crash

A six-year-old girl who was seriously injured in a crash Monday evening has died from her injuries.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the girl was a passenger in a car that was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Highway 2 and Airport Road, west of Grand Forks when the vehicle was rear-ended by a pickup.

The driver of the pick up, Travis Bell (43) suffered no apparent injury.

KFGO reports Bell had watery eyes and smelled like alcohol at the time of the crash reported shortly after 6:30 p.m. After a field sobriety test, troopers gave Bell three breath tests reading .123%, .130%, and .128%.
