Correa wins POW
(Minneapolis, MN) — Minnesota shortstop Carlos Correa is being recognized for his outstanding play last week. The Twins standout was named the American League Player of the Week yesterday. Correa hit .548 with three home runs and nine R-B-I last week. He has raised his batting average from .247 to .309 in the past 11 games. He is now third in the American League in batting average. In other team news, Austin Martin earned the Electric Play of the Week award after robbing a home run on Sunday.
