Empowering Communities, Celebrating Minnesota Locally

Butch Fischer

Butch Fischer 77 passed away peacefully and flew to heaven with the eagles on June 12th, 2024. He was loved by so many that came in to say their tearful goodbyes during his last days. His heart of gold, love and kindness, and deep faith will be etched in the hearts of everyone that loved him. His children, siblings, family and friends and especially Dianna, are heartbroken, but have peace knowing that he is with Jesus and no longer suffering.

Butch was passionate about helping others and would contribute to many charities and fundraisers. The past 25-years he has raised a tremendous amount of money for the MS Foundation, and as an avid biker, loved the motorcycle ride every August for MS RRR. No doubt he is on his motorcycle riding with the angels.

A man of strong faith, his church and God sustained him and were the core of the man he was. Butch was a military veteran, having served in the US Army and was steadfast in his support of veterans.

Butch is survived by his children; Angela Gunderson, Dale Fischer, Jeremy (Melissa) Fischer and Sara Fischer. His siblings; Diane (Jerry) Bedeaux, William (Bill) Fischer, Gerald (Laure) Fischer, Ross (Lisa) Fischer, Nanette (Toots) Meder. His grandchildren; Dustin, Alex, Chantel, Cortney, Nick and many nieces, nephews, and relatives. Also survived by Dianna Colucci, his loving partner of many years and his dog and best friend, “Jazzy” who loved him so much and never left his side during his last days.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Anne Fischer, father Francis Fischer, sister Mary (Shirl) Jerkins and brother Fredrick (Rick) Fischer.

A special thanks to St Croix Hospice for their compassionate care of Butch
