Lorraine Gail, age 94 of Wheaton, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Sanford Wheaton Hospital.
Visitation for Lorraine Gail will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton, MN.
Funeral services for Lorraine Gail will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton, MN, with Rev. Cheryl Berg officiating.
Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, rural Wheaton, MN.
Lorraine was born November 4, 1929 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Fred and Myrtle (Ax) Larson. Lorraine was baptized at her home and confirmed in Mission Covenant Church in Wheaton. She became a lifelong member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Lorraine graduated from Wheaton High School in 1947.
On September 2, 1947 Lorraine married her high school sweetheart, Alton Gail. Their marriage was blessed with seven children. Lorraine leaves behind an enduring legacy. Her sons, daughters and their families received rich blessings with her unwavering faith and genuine care.
Lorraine was a woman of character, even in the toughest circumstances when she faced life’s challenges, her beauty went deeper than the surface. She had the beauty of the fruits of the Spirit: (Galatians 5:22-23) love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
God had a plan for Lorraine as for all of us to fulfill all the purposes for which she was created.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Sandra Conroy of Dumont, MN, Michael (Jean) Gail of Wheaton, MN, Rick (Ann) Gail of Madison, MN, Dennis (Sandy) Gail of Big Lake, MN, Scott (Lisa) Gail of Fargo, ND, Lori (Brian) Draxten of Fergus Falls, MN, and Leann (Rick) Sando of Rosholt, SD; twenty-five grandchildren; seventy-four great-grandchildren; twenty-four great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Barbera Gail of Fergus Falls, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband: Alton Gail; parents: Fred and Myrtle Larson; brother: Dayton Larson; sisters: Beverly Lichtsinn and Nira Flatin; brothers-in-law: Gene Flatin, Merton Lichtsinn, and Roman Gail; son-in-law: James Conroy; and grandson: Steven Conroy.
