OFFICIALS CONTINUE TO MONITOR RAPIDAN DAM
Blue Earth County Public Works, Emergency management and Sheriff’s Office staff are continuing to monitor the Rapidan Dam. Officials say there has been a partial failure on the west abutment but there is no current plans for a mass evacuation. This is Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Kristi Rollwagen.
Everyone deemed to be in danger has already been notified, and many have evacuated. Officials have declare the dam to be in “imminent failure condition.”
