Lynx win Commissioners Cup
(Elmont, NY) — The Minnesota Lynx took down the New York Liberty 94-89 to win the 2024 W-N-B-A Commissioner’s Cup Championship at U-B-S Arena in New York last night. Minnesota forward Bridget Carleton hit six three-pointers en route to a team high 23 points. Napheesa Collier added 21 points in the victory. The Lynx used a 19-10 third quarter to become winners of their first Commissioner’s Cup in the four-year history of the in-season tournament. Breanna Stewart had a game-high 24 points for the Liberty in the loss. New York was unable to repeat as Commissioner’s Cup champions. The Lynx visit the Wings tomorrow.
