Lois Ann (Tiegs) Schroeder
Lois Ann (Tiegs) Schroeder, age 73 of Henderson, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Ridgeview Arlington Hospital in Arlington, Minnesota. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Henderson, Minnesota. Visitation will be at the church that morning from 9-11 A.M. Burial will follow the service at Brown Cemetery in Henderson. Lunch to follow the burial in the church social hall.
Lois was born on June 4, 1951 at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota to Roger and Loretta (Trick) Tiegs. Their family moved to Henderson when Lois was 4 years old and she attended Henderson Public School from K-12 th , and graduated in 1969. On October 7, 1972, Lois married Ronald Schroeder of rural Henderson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Arlington Township. She worked several places; Green Giant in Le Sueur, Wagar’s Grocery/Shell in Henderson, Senior Nutrition Sites in Le Sueur and Henderson, Pillsbury Promotional Services in Le Sueur, Miller & Cawell Law Office in Henderson for Ardys Korstad, and Hilltop Elementary in Henderson. In her spare time, Lois enjoyed her garden and doing cross-stitch projects. She also
enjoyed cheering her grandchildren on in whatever sport they were participating in, much like she did when her daughters were playing. She also loved her Wednesday coffee group. She was a Girl Scout Leader, Book Buddy volunteer, T-Ball and Girls Softball coach, and member of the Le Sueur/Henderson Basketball Association.
Lois is survived by her husband, Ron; 2 daughters, Lynn Schroeder of Henderson, MN and Amy (Casey) Veenhof of Madison, SD; 5 grandchildren, Alexia Schroeder and Jaden Halterman of Henderson, MN, and Shane, Henry, and Frank Veenhof of SD; brother, Randy Tiegs of Henderson, MN; brothers-in-law, Leslie (Alice) Schroeder of Shakopee, MN, Roger (Debbie) Schroeder of Henderson, MN and Tom Phillips of Henderson, MN; nephews, Brandon Phillips, Dan Schroeder, and Shawn Schroeder; nieces, Laurie Evenson, Angie Jackson, Erin Merz, and Paula Phillips. She was preceded in death by her parents, still-born daughter, father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Daisy Schroeder, and sister, LaMona Phillips.
