Twins dominate in Arizona
(Phoenix, AZ) — Minnesota infielder Willi Castro clubbed a two-run homer to help the Twins take down the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-3 in Phoenix last night. Jose Miranda drove in a trio of runs, while Carlos Correa had three hits, an R-B-I and scored twice for Minnesota, which has won three of its last four games to get to 44-36 on the season. Simeon Woods Richardson pitched three-run ball into the sixth inning as he improved to 3-1 on the season. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (lure-des GURR-ee-el) tripled and plated two runs for the D-backs, who have lost three-of-four and are now 39-41. Ryne Nelson was rocked for six runs and 10 hits in less than four innings of work as he fell to 5-6. The rubber game of the series is today at 2:40 P-M at Chase Field.
