Twins Win Another Series
Twins outfielder Trevor Larnach (LAR-nick) came through in the clutch as Minnesota took the rubber-match of their three-game series with the Mariners yesterday in Seattle. Larnach launched a go-ahead, two-run home run in the top of the eighth to lead Minnesota to a 5-3 victory. Larnach drove in three runs during the victory. Cole Sands picked up his third out of the bullpen, while Jhoan Duran earned his 12th save. The 47-37 Twins have won four of five and have drawn to within six-games of first-place Cleveland in the A-L Central. Minnesota is off today and will welcome the Detroit Tigers to town tomorrow night.
