Eight Arrested in Human Trafficking Bust

Eight people have been arrested in a Stearns County human trafficking bust.

According to a press release, from June 25th to the 27th, the Central MN Human Trafficking Task Force, with the assistance of the St. Cloud Police Department, Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, and Sartell Police Department, conducted the operation in the St. Cloud area.

Seven individuals were arrested for gross misdemeanor crimes related to attempting to purchase sex, and one individual was arrested for felony level electronic solicitation of a child.

Authorities say additional arrests are anticipated.
