Twins Hot Streak Continues

The Minnesota Twins are on a three-game winning streak following a 5-3 win over the Detroit Tigers at Target Field last night.

The Twins trailed by a run in the fifth when Manny Margot hit a game-tying home run. Ryan Jeffers drove in the go-ahead run in seventh before Carlos Correa went deep in the eighth to add insurance.

The Twins extended their franchise record to a 20th consecutive game with at least one homer. Jorge Alcala earned his second win in relief, while Jhoan Duran picked up his 13th save.

The Twins are in second place in the A-L Central at 48-37, six games behind first-place Cleveland. Justyn-Henry Malloy and Ryan Kreidler each homered in the losing effort, and Will Vest was charged with his second loss out of the pen.

Detroit has lost five of six and is 38-47. Game two of the three-game series is tonight at 6:40 P-M in Minneapolis.
