Three Arrested in Connection with Meeker Co Stabbing/Assault
Three suspects were arrested this week in connection with the assault investigation from June 28 in Meeker County after authorities found 50-year-old Galen Serbus of Olivia lying in the ditch with an apparent stab wound and injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
A 20-year-old woman from Pennock was arrested at a hotel in Willmar, A 48-year-old man from Arco was arrested at a hotel outside Granite Falls, and a 26-year-old Litchfield man was arrested during a traffic stop in Willmar.
Formal charges are pending.
The investigation revealed the suspect brought Serbus to a remote location in Meeker County to rob him. Authorities say Serbus was intentionally hit by their vehicle after which he was stabbed and left alongside the road.
The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation remains active and anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities.
