Motorcyclist Dies in Carver Co Crash

A motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle crash in Carver County Wednesday night in Chanhassen.

The State Patrol says 33-year-old Thomas Trotter of Bloomington died at the scene.

The Patrol says he was traveling westbound highway 5 in the right lane when his motorcycle struck the rear quarter panel of an SUV which was also traveling in the right lane.

The driver and passengers in the SUV were not injured.

The crash happened just before 8:30pm.
