SLEEPY EYE WOMAN CRITICAL AFTER MONDAY CRASH

The state patrol was called to a collision between a Ford Escape and a grain truck Monday morning at 9:55 am.  Authorities say the truck was driven by 77-year-old Steven John Meyer of Springfield and the Ford Escape was driven by 32-year-old Molly Marie Stimpert of Sleepy Eye.  She was taken to North Memorial hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Her passenger, 71-year-old Patricia Key Peterson of Sleepy Eye was taken to Sleepy Eye Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Meyer wasn’t hurt.  The Brown County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
