The Twins captured last night’s series opener 8-6 in 11 innings, getting the go-ahead R-B-I from rookie Brooks Lee. Minnesota gained a game on first-place Cleveland and trail the Guardians by five-games. The 52-39 Twins will send right-hander Bailey Ober to the mound tonight. He is 8-4 this season with a 4.12 earned run average. The 26-67 White Sox counter with righty Erick Fedde, who is 6-3 this year with a 3.13 E-R-A. First pitch tonight is 7:10 P-M. Minnesota slugger Jose Miranda is being recognized for his record-tying week. The Twins infielder was named the American League Player of the Week yesterday. Miranda hit .700 with four doubles, a home run, and six R-B-I last week. He also tied a Major League Baseball record by getting a hit in 12 straight at-bats. The 26-year-old is hitting .332 with nine home runs and 43 R-B-I this season.
