Jelly Roll Trademark Infringement Lawsuit Dropped
The Philadelphia wedding band that calls themselves Jellroll has dropped their lawsuit against Jelly Roll, the country singer. They filed the original lawsuit in April citing trademark infringement on their band name they’ve been using since 1980. They claimed their Jellyroll (band) Google search results plummeted since Jelly Roll (the country singer) came on the music scene.
The lead singer of the wedding band announcement the case dismissal, writing, “The dispute with Jason Bradley DeFord, a.k.a. Jelly Roll, has been resolved and the legal action has been withdrawn. We look forward to our continued use of the name Jellyroll Band in connection with our party band business.”
The court docs do not disclose if a settlement has been reached.
