SLEEPY EYE MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR CRIMINAL SEXUAL CONDUCT

A Sleepy Eye man was sentenced to five years in prison Monday for an amended count of felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct.  Gary Thoms pleaded guilty to the charge in Brown County District Court in June.  He was credited with 260 days served in the Brown County jail.  He will also serve 10 years supervised probation after he is released and must register as a predatory offender.  The charges stem from incidents that happened between March of 2009 and March of 2011.
