James Everett Fox
James Everett Fox, age 67 of Le Sueur, died suddenly on Saturday morning, July 13, 2024 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Le Sueur, MN. Memorial services will be on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Noon at Word of Life Lutheran Church in Le Sueur, MN. Visitation will be at the church that morning from 9:00 a.m. ~ Noon. Lunch in church social following the memorial service. Burial will be at a later time at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Rapidan, MN.
Jim was born on April 4, 1957 to Harold and Marcelaine (Wolff) Fox in Shakopee, MN. He grew up in Shakopee and attended Shakopee schools. Jim began working for his Dad at a young age with Fox-Weiler Excavation and Construction. He then began his own business, J. Fox Construction and was a nine year member of the Shakopee Fire Dept. Jim married Gail Lachmiller on 9-19-1998 in Shakopee.
For many years, Jim’s passion was restoring old cars for himself and others. He was a member of the Minnesota Street Rod Association. In 2005, he took Street Rod of the year with his 1930 Ford Model A Coupe. And in 2007, he took car of the year with a 1955 Chevy pick-up. He loved playing pool with the pool league at Mac’s Green Mill Bar. Jim deeply loved his wife, children, and grandchildren and enjoyed his time he shared with them.
His love of family and charming wit will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
Jim is survived by his wife, Gail; daughter, Lindsey (Shawn) Suter of Le Sueur; and son, Timothy Fox of Watertown, MN; six grandchildren, Madison, Elizabeth, Chase, Avery, Jameson and Emma; siblings, Robert (Nora) Fox of Lakeville, MN, John (Diane) Fox of Hastings, MN, Richard (Lora) Fox of Shakopee, MN, Thomas (Brenda) Fox of Shakopee, MN, and Cheryl Crosby of Shakopee, MN; in-laws, Daryl (Lynn) Lachmiller, Dale (Karen) Lachmiller, Mark Lachmiller, and Jan (Jerret) Thompson. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Marcie Fox; son, Ryan in 2021; brother, Joseph “Joey” Fox’ father-in-law, Ray Lachmiller, and sister-in-law, Cheryl Lachmiller.
