Marion Mobraaten

Marion Mobraaten, age 93 of Elbow Lake, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Maple Manor in Elbow Lake, MN.

Graveside services for Marion Mobraaten will be held Monday, July 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Union Cemetery in Elbow Lake, MN.

Marion Jeanette was born on July 7, 1930, in Fergus Falls, MN, the daughter of Johnny and Mabel (Baasen) Melaas. She was baptized and confirmed at Rock Prairie Lutheran Church. She graduated from Elbow Lake High School in 1949. Marion worked as a bookkeeper at Cenex for many years.

In 1949, she married Lyle Danzeisen and to this union they were blessed with two children, Gary and Keith. Lyle passed away in 1985. In 1988, Marion married Marlin “Buddy” Mobraaten. Buddy passed away in 1991.

Marion enjoyed knitting, golf, travel, and cards. She was very active in her church, United Lutheran in Elbow Lake. Marion was a master at making cakes for her family, no two years being the same. In her younger years, her and Lyle enjoyed dancing as well as her and Buddy. God Bless the Memory of Marion Mobraaten.

She is survived by her son: Keith (Connie) Danzeisen of Mesa, Arizona; daughter-in-law: Leslie Danzeisen of Maple Grove, MN; six grandchildren: Brent, Kimberly, Amy, Angie, Kelly, and John; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouses: Lyle and Marlin “Buddy” and a son: Gary Danzeisen.
