Twins beat Phillies 7-2

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Twins went toe-to-toe with the best team in baseball and still came out on top 7-2 over the Phillies. Philly started the game with a 2-0 advantage thanks to a Bryce Harper two run homer in the top of the first inning. But the Twins responded with seven consecutive runs including two R-B-I’s each for Manuel Margot, Carlos Santana and WIlli Castro. Minnesota gets their first win since the All Star break ended and improves to 55-44. Despite the loss, the Phillies still lead all of baseball with a 63-37 record. Game two of the series is tonight at 6:40 P-M at Target Field.
