Construction Worker Killed in Waite Park Crane Accident

(Learfield News/Waite Park, MN) — Authorities in Stearns County say a Sartell man is the victim of a fatal workplace accident in Waite Park.

Police say a large crane was being assembled Tuesday when it fell from an elevated workstation and struck 38-year-old Dylan Barthel, pinning him underneath.

Officers say Barthel died at the scene.

The medical examiner determined that Barthel died of multiple blunt force injuries. Minnesota OSHA was called in to investigate.
