Loons pick up Leagues Cup win
(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota United picked up a Leagues Cup win last night, beating Liga MX’s Necaxa 1-0 at Allianz Field in St. Paul. Robin Lod scored the match’s only goal in the tenth minute. Minnesota played a man down for most of the contest after Hugo Bacharach was red-carded in the 20th minute. Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair made 16 saves in the victory. The Loons are 1-1 in the non-MLS tourney and will host Seattle on August 24th.
