MODIFIED GLENCOE DAYS WILL BE FRIDAY
Flooding at Oak Leaf Park in Glencoe caused June’s Glencoe Days celebration to be cancelled. Organizers have announced that a one-day event will take place Friday in the park. A medallion hunt will actually start Thursday at 5 with clues being released on social media. Festivities start Friday at 5 with the annual corn feed, live music, a hot pepper eating contest and fireworks at 10 pm. There won’t be a parade, however, as organizers didn’t have time to get one organized. Organizers say the event was also cancelled due to flooding ten years ago.
