HIGHWAY 14/HIGHLAND AVENUE ROUNDABOUT PROJECT TO OPEN LATE FRIDAY

Construction of the roundabout at the intersection of Highway 14 and Highland Avenue in New Ulm is wrapping up and MnDOT says the detour will be removed by late in the day Friday.  Todd Kjolstad with MnDOT says they were delayed a month due to heavy rains early in the project.  It had originally be scheduled to open in early July.   Traffic has been detoured since May 20 for construction of the single-lane roundabout.  The project also included new sidewalk and trail to connect to existing locations and lighting.
