Twins open up big series vs Cleveland

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins were off last night and will start a huge four-game series against the first-place Cleveland Guardians this afternoon at Target Field. The four games will take place over three days with a split day-night doubleheader set for today. The 63-50 Twins have dropped two straight games, including an 8-2 setback to the Cubs in Chicago on Wednesday. The 67-47 Guardians were also off last night and have dropped five straight games, including both games of a Wednesday doubleheader against Arizona, 7-3 and 5-3. Cleveland leads the Twins by three-and-a-half-games in the American League Central Division. First pitch for today’s game one is 1:10 P-M, with the nightcap set to begin at 7:10 P-M.
