Fischbach Facing Challenge from Boyd in Tuesday’s 7th District GOP primary
(Learfield News) Republican Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach has former President Donald Trump’s endorsement, but didn’t get enough votes at the 7th District Convention to win the nomination and has a challenge in Tuesday’s G-O-P primary from rural Kensington business owner Steve Boyd.
Boyd says Fischbach’s connection to the district has “kind of gone by the wayside.”
He says, “I’ve committed to having a town hall in every county at least once a year. Doesn’t sound like much until you realize there’s 38 counties in the district. It’s not gonna be an easy thing to do.”
Fischbach responds she’s been connecting with the district for years and says, “It’s a big district obviously and we get all over…. We go from north to south in the district and keep in touch with, and making sure that we are talking to everyone we need to talk to.”
