BIRD ISLAND HOUSE FIRE

Several agencies responded to a house fire in Bird Island Tuesday afternoon.  The call came in to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office at 12:28 pm in the 800 block of Oak Avenue.  Emergency crews found the house fully engulfed in flames.  The fire was contained but the house was deemed a total loss.  The Bird Island Fire Department was assisted by the sheriff’s office, Olivia Fire Department and the State Fire Marshall’s Office.  The cause is not yet known.  The investigation is continuing.  There are no reports of injuries.
