Aberdeen Sells Water to North Dakota Data Center

Aberdeen has sold more than one million gallons of water to Applied Digital’s data-center project near Ellendale, North Dakota, during the past two months.

City officials say the water has been transported by tanker trucks and sold at twice Aberdeen’s standard residential rate.

Aberdeen says its available water supply is sufficient to meet local demand while continuing the sales.

Applied Digital operates a large data-center campus near Ellendale. The company says its permanent facilities use closed-loop cooling systems.
