ALLINA HEALTH EARNS NATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS

Allina Health earned national recognition from Practice Greenhealth for its sustainability efforts.  Allina Health received the System for Change Award for setting system-wide sustainability goals and tracking progress and outcomes.  Among the sites receiving Greenhealth Champion awards was the New Ulm Medical Center, the Faribault Medical Center and the Owatonna Hospital.  Allina officials say it’s good to be honored by Practice Greenhealth for progress they have made in reducing waste and greenhouse gas emissions across the health system.  Allina Health has a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and reaching zero emissions by 2050.
