Alvern “Vernie” Johnson

Alvern “Vernie” Johnson, age 87 of Clarkfield, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital with loving family by his side.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 5-8 PM with a prayer service beginning at 5 PM at the J.H. Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield. Visitation will continue Friday, April 24, at 10 AM at Augustana Lutheran Church in Clarkfield, followed by the memorial service with military honors at 11 AM. Interment will be in Fridhem Cemetery, rural Clarkfield.
