Annual Severe Weather Spotter Training in McLeod County

If you ever wanted to learn what to watch for during severe weather or if you need refresher training on spotter safety, McLeod County Emergency Management will be hosting the annual severe weather training on Monday, April 13th, 2026.

The educational seminar starts at 6:00 pm and ends at about 9:00 pm and is being held at the McLeod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson in the Century Hall Building.

The Twin Cities National Weather Service will be leading the discussion on spotter safety and storm development.

Officials say there’s no need to pre-register…you just have to show up.
