Area ATV Operators Face Enforcement Action
Officers in the Thief River Falls area say that increased ATV activity has led to an increase in violations and enforcement action.
Conservation Officer Sarah Jahn is reminding ATV operators “to have lights on and that all passengers and operators under 18 need helmets.” She says enforcement action this week “included no lights on ATVS and no helmets on passengers as young as 2 years of age.”
Conservation Officer Jeremy Woinarowicz says enforcement action was taken for “no helmet on juvenile ATV passenger, excessive speed on ATV, and Fail to Display ATV registration.
Area conservation officers also patrolled during the opening weekend of bear baiting.
