ARRESTS MADE, CHARGES FILED IN MANKATO MURDER

The North Mankato Police Department and the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office have announced that arrests have been made and charges filed in relation to the murder of 17-year-old Tyson Goodsell last month.  Authorities say 23-year-old Ahmed Fuad Mohamud of Shakopee is in custody and has been charged with felony attempted first-degree aggravated robbery and felony conspiracy to commit first-degree aggravated robbery.  18-year-old Ryan Wolner of rural Mankato is also in custody and charged with felony aiding and abetting first-degree aggravated robbery, felony conspiracy to commit first-degree aggravated robbery, felony aiding an offender accomplice, obstruction of inestigation attempted first degree aggravated robbery and felony aiding an offender to avoid arrest – harbor/conceal.  Police say additional persons of interest have been identified and additional arrests and charges are possible.  Police continue to ask for your help with any information.  Goodsell was killed May 23 in the area of Pleasant View Drive and Willow Lane in Mankato.
