Attorney General Ellison Announces Opioid Settlement
(Learfield News/St. Paul, MN) – Minnesota is receiving $59 million in a settlement reached between states and Purdue Pharma and its owners for their role in fueling the opioid crisis.
The total settlement was worth $7.4 billion.
Purdue Pharma was the maker of Oxycontin.
Including this settlement, Attorney General Keith Ellison’s office says they have now reached 21 settlements with opioid companies worth a total of $633 million for Minnesota.
