Attorney General Sues Blaine Nonprofit Over Worker Payments
Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison says his office has filed a civil lawsuit against Blaine-based Youth Leadership Academy.
The lawsuit alleges the nonprofit supplied workers for events at professional sports stadiums, but characterized their compensation as charitable grants instead of employee wages.
Ellison’s office contends the payments were compensation for work performed.
Youth Leadership Academy has not been found liable, and the allegations have not been proven in court.
