Authorities Issue Warning About Fake IDs

Authorities are warning business owners about shame IDs making the rounds in the listening area. 

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office fake Minnesota IDs are being used.  Officials say that under inspection in normal light the IDs appear to be legal and contain all the security features of a legitimate ID card. Under a black-light, the holograms on the front of the fake ID’s glow much brighter and transmit through the reverse side of the ID card.  On the legal ID cards the holograms are not as bright and don’t transmit through the back side.  

If anyone comes across a fake ID or an ID they believe to be fake contact your local law enforcement.
