Barbara Joan Haggenmiller

Barbara Joan Haggenmiller, 81, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024 surrounded by her family at Bayside Manor in Gaylord, MN. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington, concluding with a prayer service at 7p.m. Interment will be private at a later date in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Barb was born on May 29, 1943 in Jessenland Township, Sibley County to Leonard and Ethel (Engel) Schulz. She attended Country School, Green Isle School, St. Paul’s School and graduated from Arlington High School in 1961. She married Raymond Haggenmiller on July 15, 1961. They just celebrated 63 years of marriage and resided in Arlington, MN until moving to Bayside Manor in 2023. Barb worked as a nurse’s aide at the Arlington Hospital. Ray and Barb owned and operated the Arlington Laundromat. Later she did painting, staining and wallpapering for many in the surrounding area. She did accounting for Haggenmiller Construction and Haggenmiller Apartments. Ray purchased Haggenmiller Lumber with his sons in 1994 and she worked there until retiring. Barb enjoyed fishing with Ray, quilting, crocheting, embroidering, knitting, birds, flowers, she enjoyed watching the Twins or any other Minnesota Sports Team.

Barbara is survived by husband, Ray, Children, Pam (Mark) Mediger, Tim (Stacy) Haggenmiller and Chuck (Andrea) Haggenmiller. Grandchildren, Nathan (Laura) Mediger, Abby (Jake) Knutson, Hailey and Morgan Haggenmiller, Spencer (Nicole) Haggenmiller, Breanna (Logan) Reid, Devin (Britany) Rau. Great Grandchildren, Lena, Olivia and Ellanor Mediger, Aubrey and Caleb Haggenmiller, Hudson and Hayes Reid. Brother, David (Renata) Schulz, Sister, Carol (Dick) Thomes, Sister-in-law, Edythe Haggenmiller, many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Brother-in-law, Ambrose Haggenmiller, Sisters- in-law and Brothers-in-law, Eileen and Jim Morrisette, Eleanore and Alfred Schauer, and nephews.
