BE AWARE OF FAKE CHAMBER DOLLARS

The New Ulm Chamber of Commerce warning of an incident involving counterfeit Chamber Dollars.  President and CEO Sarah Warmka says that a Chamber member reported a customer attempted to use fake chamber dollars.  The New Ulm Police Department is aware off the situation and is currently investigating.  Warmka is asking you to be vigilant and inspect any Chamber dollars received.  Authentic Chamber Dollars are printed on yellow cardstock, have identifying serial numbers on the front, have a “best of used by” date stamped on the front and have the name of the purchaser hand-written on the back.  The fake dollars were color photocopies printed on regular paper and cut out.  If you come across any suspicious Chamber dollars or anything unusual, contact the New Ulm Police Department at 507-233-6750.
