BE MINDFUL OF WHEN AND WHERE YOU SHOOT OFF FIREWORKS
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is asking you to mindful of where and when you shoot off fireworks over the Fourth of July weekend. Senior Deputy Jason Fairbairn loud booms and cracks from firecrackers can be traumatic for young children, pets and even veterans that may suffer from PTSD. Authorities also remind you that and fireworks that project into the air are illegal and you need a permit to use those. They also remind you to never point fireworks towards people, animals, structures, vehicles or flammable materials, never give fireworks to small children, keep a supply of water close by and wear eye protection.
