Bicyclist Struck By SUV

A bicyclist was injured in a traffic accident over the weekend in Becker County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Amber Rose Greene (44) was injured when she was struck by a 1999 Chevy Suburban driven by Stanley Krajsa (82).

According to the State Patrol report, the bike was westbound on the eastbound shoulder of Highway 34 in Detroit Lakes at the time of the accident. Authorities say “the Chevy had pulled over to let faster moving vehicles go past. As the Chevy re-entered, the bike and Chevy collided” at Highland Drive in Detroit Lakes.

Greene was taken to Fargo hospital and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. Krajsa suffered no apparent injury in the accident reported just before 4pm Friday.

Officials say the driver of the SUV had not been drinking. It is unknown at this time if Greene had been consuming alcohol prior to the crash.
