Bills, Eagles advance to Championship games
(Philadelphia, PA) — Saquon Barkley and the Eagles are back in the N-F-C Championship game. The running back melted the Rams for 205 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a 28-22 win from snowy Lincoln Financial Field. It was the fifth-most rushing yards ever in a playoff game and the highest total in franchise history. Jalen Hurts threw for 128 yards and Dallas Goedert led the pass catchers with 56 yards. Philly is heading to its second N-F-C title game in three seasons will host the division-rival Commanders next Sunday for a spot in Super Bowl 59. Matthew Stafford passed for 324 yards and two touchdowns in the Divisional round loss for LA. Puka Nacua had 97 receiving yards while Kyren Williams carried the ball 19 times for 106 yards. Los Angeles hasn’t made the N-F-C Championship game since winning Super Bowl 56 back in 2021.
(Orchard Park, NY) — The Buffalo Bills are heading back to the A-F-C Championship for the first time since 2020. Buffalo defeated the Baltimore Ravens 27-25 in an A-F-C Divisional Round matchup at Highmark Stadium. Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Likely with under two minutes remaining, but Mark Andrews dropped the potential game-tying two-point conversion and Buffalo held on for the win. Josh Allen completed 16-of-22 pass attempts for 127 yards to go along with 20 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Ray Davis also rushed for a score and Tyler Bass converted both of his field goal attempts. The Bills will square off against the Kansas City Chiefs for a spot in Super Bowl 59. Jackson was 18-of-25 for 254 yards, two TDs and an interception. Derrick Henry had 84 yards and a score on the ground. The Ravens failed to make back-to-back A-F-C title games.
