Bison Dominate Jacksonville State 33-7 in FBS Debut

North Dakota State opened its new era of F-B-S football with a convincing 33-to-7 victory over Jacksonville State Saturday at the Fargodome.

Quarterback Nathan Hayes completed 14-of-22 passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns. He connected with Reis Kessel on the opening drive and found Jordan McCants for a 44-yard score before halftime.

Drew Klein made four field goals, while Blake Schiltz recovered a bad snap in the end zone for a defensive touchdown.

The Bison held Jacksonville State to 170 total yards and two third-down conversions. N-D-S-U hosts Fordham next Saturday at 2:30 P-M. North Dakota State Athletics
