FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR RAPIDAN DAM BREAK

A Flash Flood warning has been issued for the Blue Earth River below the Rapidan Dam in Blue Earth County until 4:30 this (Monday) afternoon.  Authorities say dam operators reported the river has eroded the earth around the dam and is uncontrolled.  Authorities warn this could cause flash flooding downstream along the Blue Earth River.  Other streams and drainages affected include Minneopa Creek and the Le Sueur River.  Authorities say that if you are in low lying areas below the Rapidan Dam, you should move to higher ground.
