Body of Missing Swimmer Recovered

Authorities in Carver County say the body of a swimmer that went into the Minnesota River in Chaska has been recovered.

The Sheriff’s Office says the body was recovered Friday morning near the Highway 41 bridge.

The body was taken to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for identification and autopsy.

Witnesses said the man entered the water on his own and began swimming and then became submerged and did not resurface.
